When chefs and brewers put their heads together, amazing things can happen. Earlier this year, the team at Island Creek delivered some oysters to Lamplighter Brewing, where together with Medusa Brewing Co. they came up with a limited oyster stout they dubbed (what else?) Black Pearl. On Monday, March 11th, get to Island Creek Oyster Bar Burlington to taste their creation and hear all about the process from the suds scientists themselves. Chef Matt Celeste has crafted a five-course menu of upscale bar food—Beef Tongue Pastrami Toast and Great Hill Blue Cheese Fondue will both make an appearance—just begging to be paired with a brew or two. $85 gets you in the door for oysters, dinner, beer, tax, and gratuity.
