Celebrate seven years of the best ice cream in Massachusetts — with more ice cream, naturally — at New City Microcreamery. Swing by any of their locations (Cambridge, Hudson and Sudbury) on Sunday, May 22 and raise a cone to creative directors Karim El Gamal, Michael Kasseris and Jason Kleinerman, their executive chef Thomas Kepner, pastry chef Alyssa Lieberman and all of the “frozen dessert technicians” and baristas who make the microcreamery go. In addition to their signature scoops, sundaes and drinks, New City will have lots of fun festivities planned for the event including special flavors, a photo booth, giveaways and contests. This is THE day to gorge on Key Lime Pie (lime base with graham cracker crust pieces, key lime curd and a fluff swirl) and Cannoli (sweet cream base steeped with orange and cinnamon with a cannoli cream swirl and chocolate covered waffle cone pieces) — calories don’t count on birthdays, even if it’s not your own.
