On Thursday, June 10th get ready to taste the world without leaving the comfort of your own city when Hostelling International hosts the first annual Taste of the World. A bunch of area eateries will set up shop in the City Year Building, dishing up some scrumptious nibbles – keep an eye out for Estragon, Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake and Taranta. To add to all the deliciousness, there will also be a culinarily inclined silent auction featuring biddable treats from the likes of Henrietta’s Table and The Fireplace. Tickets cost $60 per person with proceeds going to benefit Hostelling International’s Cultural Kitchen program which aims to teach local kids about diversity and conflict resolution through cooking. The event runs from 6 to 8pm – make sure you score yourself a ticket by visiting the event website.
