Harpoon 100 Barrel Dinner at Aura

Aura celebrates the Harpoon 100 Barrel Series with a 100 Barrel Dinner on Monday, November 10th at 6:00pm. The evening begins with a reception, featuring hors d’oeuvres from chef John Merrill and samples of Harpoon’s first three 100 Barrel Series beers: Harpoon Oatmeal Stout, Harpoon Wit, and the latest edition to the series, Harpoon Abbey Style Ale. These one-of-a-kind creations, each fashioned by a Harpoon brewer who is limited to a single 100 barrel batch, will be matched with a three course dinner consisting of dishes like pan-roasted scallops with a smoky sweet corn and wild mushroom fricassee, chipotle pepper aioli and upland cress; grilled dry aged beef sirloin with stout braised Napa cabbage, fingerling potatoes and grain mustard; and warm apple cranberry strudel served with vanilla bean ice cream and bitter chocolate sauce. Brewers Al Marzi, Jaime Schier and Sean Cornelius, will be on hand to discuss their creations. The dinner costs $40 for the general public; $35 for Friends of Harpoon, plus tax and service.
