Grotto Doubles the Fun with 2 Big Night Dinners

If you got shut out of Grotto‘s Big Night Dinner on Wednesday, June 21st, chef Scott Herritt has decided to add anotherBig Night-themed multi-course, dinging extravaganza on Thursday, June 22nd. Here’s the deal: the evening pays homage to the movie Big Night, (the story of two Italian brothers, who host an elaborate dinner for the legendary band leader Louis Prima in an effort to save their flailing Italian restaurant). The menu features dishes straight from the big screen dinner scene – timpano, roasted pig and an assortment of dishes like prime rib, lamb, chicken, and a wide selection of freshly prepared vegetables. The five-course dinner costs $45 per person, or $65 with paired wines. Reservations are required and are going fast, so call 617.227.3434 to save your seat. The staff will be decked out in Big Night-era styles, so feel free to don anything that’s got a ’50s feel to it.
