In the spirit of the soon-to-be-released movie, the party-loving ladies of UpStairs on the Square are hosting A Great Gatsby Ball on Wednesday, May 8th. Starting at 9:30pm, there’ll be all sorts of of-the-era fun: live jazz from Amy Kucharik and Friends; performances from Kristen Minsky and The TropiGals, and Thru the Keyhole Burlesque; prohibition-era cigarette girls with favors courtesy of Benedictine and Drambuie; and Gatsby-inspired hats from Goorin Bros Hat Store. Dress to impress (there are prizes at stake!) in your best Gatsby or Daisy-ish attire. They’ll be donating 5% of the proceeds from the bar to The One Fund, so go raise a glass or two in Gatsby’s honor.
