Chef Gordon Hamersley creates a spectacular, multi-course meal for guests at the James Beard House on Wednesday, January 26th. The menu for the evening begins with hors d’oeuvres like creamy salt cod crostini; country pate with coarse mustard; and lobster and cremini tart. The evening continues with dishes like seared scallops and sweetbreads with winter greens and sherry sauce; crispy duck confit with figs, blue cheese, and port; roasted venison chop with juniper-infused mashed potatoes and mustard-horseradish cream; and a trilogy of warm chocolate bread pudding; souffléed lemon custard; mint ice cream. The dinner costs $125 per person for Beard House members and $150 for guests.
