Don’t quite have a bead on the restaurant scene in Roslindale and West Roxbury? Get a better sense of all the neighborhood eats at the fourth annual Taste of Roslindale, scheduled for Thursday September 23rd. From 6:30-9:00pm more than twenty area eateries – from pubs to bistros, bakeries to pizzerias – will be serving samples of their edible wares at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church (39 Belgrade Avenue in Roslindale). Try tastes from Birch Street Bistro, Boston Cheese Cellar, Corrib Pub, Fornax Bread Company, Masona Grill, Sophia’s Grotto and West on Centre. In between bites, catch cooking demos featuring local celebs, enjoy music from the Patrice Monahan Jazz Quartet or place your bids in both live and silent auctions. Tickets, proceeds from which will benefit the Roslindale Food Pantry, cost $25 (unless you wait until the last minute then they cost $30 at the door).
