Lederhosen counts as formal wear at this week’s wine dinner at Forage in Cambridge as chef Eric Cooper and trusted wine guru Stan Hilbert take you on a tasty journey through the world of German wines. Join them on Tuesday, May 10th and explore the Rhine River and the unique influence the northern climate has on grapes like Riesling and Gewürztraminer (to name a few). You will also learn about the history the region where vineyards can sometimes date back to the Roman era. Expect the unexpected as the Forage team are known for selecting wines from small, non-interventionist, natural producers for their ongoing weekly wine dinner series. You can choose either an omnivore or vegetarian four-course dinner to be paired with the wines, and look forward to plates made with ingredients that are grown, fished and found locally and in season, such as Ramps & Spaetzle with Mustard Seed Tuile, and Chicken Liver Mousse (for omnivores) or Tofu/Tahini Spread (for vegetarians) with Apricot Umeboshi and Local Greens.
