Have a taste of Palestine when Shepard celebrates The Gaza Kitchen. Cookbook authors Laila El-Haddad and Maggie Schmitt will be at the restaurant on Wednesday, November 16th to chat with guests about the cuisine of the Gaza Strip and to sign copies of the book. Attendees can mingle with the writers as they sample light bites inspired by the guide and have a drink from the Shepard bar, starting at 6:00pm. Tickets are available online here for $45 each, including a hardcover copy of The Gaza Kitchen, which El-Haddad and Schmitt will sign. Diners can stick around for dinner from chefs Susan Regis and Peter McKenzie’s a la carte menu, which will feature Palestinian dishes for the evening. Reservations can be made by calling 617.714.5295.
