A Fundraiser for a Friend

The Boston restaurant industry is a close-knit family, bound together by a common enterprise and a love of Fernet. But it’s about more than late-night drinking, and when one of the family is in trouble, they come together and make amazing things happen. On Sunday, August 13th, the industry is coming together at Bambara from 5:00 to 9:00pm to support one of their own. Ethan Frawley, a 20-year veteran of some of Boston’s best restaurants, was recently diagnosed with stage-four stomach cancer. To offset medical costs and show massive support, some of the best in the business will be toasting Ethan’s health at the Cambridge bar over beers from The Publick House, celebrity appearances from local bartending legends Joshua Childs and Tom Mastricola and snacks  from some great local restaurants including the The Abbey, Commonwealth, Cultivar, Eastern Standard, Eventide, Little Donkey, Island Creek Oyster Bar, Mamaleh’s, No. 9 Park, Row 34, Trina’s Starlite Lounge and Washington Square Tavern. here will be a silent auction and an epic raffle to help raise funds, so come raise a glass for a good cause. Tickets range in price from $35-70 and are available online here.
