Ristorante Lucia, nestled in Boston’s North End, is getting ready for the next stop on their culinary tasting tour of Italy on Thursday, January 27th. This five-course wine dinner will be filled with flavors from the northeastern region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, known for cooler temperatures and cuisine that’s a lovely combination of Mediterranean flavors and culinary influences from Slovenian and Austrian traditions – hearty and substantial with robust meat-based dishes, featuring ingredients like pork, horseradish, cheeses, cured meats, freshwater fish and polenta. Tickets for the five-course, wine-paired meal on Hanover Street are $120 each. Get all the details and reserve your seat at the table online here. Don’t miss this month’s culinary tour full of rich, indulgent delights – it’s the tastiest kind of armchair travel.
The Sunday before every Tour d’Italia meal the team hosts a pasta making class, at their sister restaurant in Winchester (if you’re up for some educational DIY fun). This month’s pasta class is scheduled for Sunday, January 23rd starting at 6:30pm. Classes include all ingredients, notebook, recipes, aprons and a family-style feast for $70 per person.
