Friuli Dinner at Bistro 5

West Medford’s Bistro 5 explores the Austro-Hungarian cuisine of Italy’s northeastern Friuli region on Monday, November 7th at their Friuli Dinner Tasting Event. The dinner, which costs $75 per person and starts at 7:00pm, features five courses from chef Vittorio Ettore including crispy oyster soup with truffle heirloom yellow tomato, zucchini, diced radishes and leeks; apple risotto with tocai friuliano, a touch of farmer’s market honey and San Daniele prosciutto; pumpkin gnocchi with truffled frico friuliano and Montasio cheese; Korubuta pork cheeks with Pancetta, dark beer, savoy cabbage, aged red wine vinegar and Farmer’s apple cider; and palacinche – pear crepes, grappa-pear ice cream and caramel sauce with white chocolate grappa whipped cream.
