Foundry on Elm’s Wine Wednesdays

Foundry on Elm Instagram

The fabulous wine-loving folks at Foundry on Elm are taking their (and your!) tastebuds to the Southern Hemisphere to explore the wines of South Africa at their weekly Wine Wednesday series. Make your way over to Davis Square during the month of March for a midweek mini tour through a selection of bottles from Ken Forrester Vineyards in Stellenbosch, SA. Known for their sustainable farming practices (no herbicides or pesticides, and they till the soil and harvest by hand), the award-winning winery produces some exceptional bottles including the “Sparklehorse” 2016,  “Petit Chenin Blanc” 2021, “Petit Pinotage” 2019 and “Renegade” 2016 – and you can try them all.

Keep an eye on their Instagram for the wine of the week, which they’ll be serving by the half-pour (which works out to a small carafe of about 2-ish glasses) — the perfect portion for tasting without committing to the whole bottle, plus the perfect pairing for a plate of chef Shayne Nunes’ brassiere-meets-tavern fare. Make a reservation here for dinner here or give the restaurant a call at 617.628.9999 to save a spot between 4:00 to 11:00pm.
