Forage Explores South West France

The folks at Forage are always up for a little culinary exploration, and on Tuesday, February 28th they’ll be traipsing through South West France, (aka Sud-Ouest en français and, to many in-the-know wine drinkers, “France’s Hidden Corner”). Many of the same varietals as their Northern neighbor, Bordeaux, grow in this area of the country, as well as some offbeat and unexpected varietals, and there are lots of smaller areas and individual appellations producing some amazing wines — in other words, perfect fodder for a Forage wine dinner!

Chef Eric Cooper has collaborated with wine guru Stan Hilbert to come up with some very fun food and wine pairings for both omnivores and vegetarians, including Mushroom Toast with Reading cheese and nasturtium with 2020 “Blanc,” Barouillet, Bergerac.
