Owner and in-house wine expert Stan Hilbert turns his attention to local offerings for Forage’s first Wine Tuesday of the month on Tuesday, September 3rd. Get to know some of his favorite Northeast offerings as he opens bottles from passionate, small-scale producers in Massachusetts, Vermont, New York and Maine showcasing the region’s rugged terrain and unique climate.
For his part, chef Eric Cooper will be creating a four-course menu to accompany these artisanal, low-intervention lovelies so you can expect super seasonal courses like Blistered Jimmy Nardellos with almond vinaigrette and wilted greens, and Cranberry Shio Koji-marinated Pork Chop with wild rice & grits, braised greens and grilled onion. The menu, which comes in omnivore and vegetarian versions (see below), costs $120 (including wines but not tax or gratuity).
