Pastry chef, cookbook author and proprietress of both Myers + Chang and the entire Flour empire, Joanne Chang is adding yet another thing to her plate, launching a baking kit/chat session on Instagram Live.
Here’s how it works: she’ll be posting the week’s recipe on the Flour website (she’s starting with Vegan Lowfat Chocolate Cake). If it seems like it might be up your alley, you can order a kit with all the necessary ingredients for pick-up, delivery or to be shipped to a faraway pastry-making destination of your choosing. Once you have the ingredients and the recipe you can just give it a go. Be sure to share your creations – the good, the not-quite-as-pictured-but-still-pretty-tasty and everything in between – on the socials tagging @joannechang and @flourbakeryandcafe with the hashtag #FLOURLOVE.
Then come Sunday, May 17th at 7:00pm, tune in to Chang’s Insta feed to chat about your cake-making triumph and ask questions. She’ll share her own finished product as well as a few hints for making the best baked goods every time.
