Did you know that tasting rum can be good for the planet? The catch is that you can’t just drink any old variety. Head to the Leather District’s Troquet on South on Wednesday, September 14th for a cocktail tasting with the folks from Flor de Caña and you’ll get to try the world’s first spirits to be carbon neutral and fair trade certified. Brand ambassador Brit McMahan will walk you through the profiles for three cocktails, and you’ll learn about the history of the 130-year-old brand and their modern efforts to be ecologically responsible, all while you munch on some French-inspired tasty bites from the kitchen like Sweet Potato Avocado Tartare, Duck Confit Flatbread with house kimchee, and Bacon-Wrapped Apricots.

Tickets for this sustainable tasting are $75 per person (available online here), and include all your cocktails and food. The tasting runs from 6:00 to 8:30pm and you must be 21+ to attend.
