Bust out your poodle skirts and saddle shoes because The Fireplace is hosting an old fashioned 1960’s sock hop on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th in honor of JFK’s 100th birthday (ich bin ein centenarian). From 7:00-10:00pm chef Jim Solomon takes guests back to the era of jitterbugs and boogie-woogies at the Schlunz Gym at Brookline High School with throwback 1960’s jukebox classics, a costume competition and vintage cocktails. Admission is $38 ($40 at the door) and includes a $10 food ticket for retro dishes like Stillman’s Farm bratwursts in a blanket, Swedish meatball with black truffled cheese and pineapple upside-down cake.
