Filipino Cuisine Pop-Up

Tanám Facebook

Tanám, the first restaurant concept (a ten-seater that’ll be opening in Union Square’s Bow Market) by Olio Culinary Collective, will be popping up at Commonwealth on Saturday, April 7th. The democratically-run collective, operated primarily by women of color, will be serving a narrative menu of Filipino fare. Reserve a ticket for the feast, which starts with a Tiki-style cocktail at 7:00pm. You’ll get a to-go box to take home with you, as well as a ‘zine that’ll walk you through the menu and how it relates to the narrative presented (no knowledge of Tagalog required). Plus, learn about culinary capital of the Philippines, Pampanga, and hear about class, war and colonization in the country. Tickets are $109 — secure yours here — for an educational and delicious evening.
