Where there’s smoke, there’s a Smoke This Rib Fest – on Sunday, October 20th East Cambridge will once again be filled with the sweet, smoky scent of barbeque. For the fourth year running, The East Cambridge Business Association invites more than a dozen local restaurants to try to cook the day’s best rib. Check out the offerings from Area Four, Trina’s, ArtBar, Redbones, Bambara and East Coast Grill, among others. The outdoor fest, which takes place from noon to 4:00pm on Cambridge Street between Fulkerson and Fifth, also boasts cooking demos thanks to how2heroes, games for the kids courtesy of East End House plus live music from Hayride and The Atwood’s Monday Night Bluegrass Band. Taste tickets, which get you a sampling of ten ribs plus a chance to cast your people’s choice vote are available online for $20 apiece. You could also opt to swing for the $75 Meateater ticket which gets you all the ribs at the fest and some other VIP treatment. Either way you go, just make sure you follow the smoke to deliciousness.
