Feast of the Throne at Tangierino

In honor of the Feast of the Throne, a centuries old Moroccan festival commemorating King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne, chef-owner Samad Naamad hosts his own opulent celebration at Tangierino. In Morocco, the holiday is celebrated with the opening of the city palaces to the public and citizens are welcomed with elaborate receptions. In Charlestown, Namaad celebrates with a three-course prix fixe menu of harira, wild salmon tagine, seven vegetable couscous, sultan’s kadra and an assortment of exotic sorbets. The dinner menu, which combines traditional and contemporary Moroccan cuisine, costs $69 per person and can be matched with a Les Celliers de Meknes wine pairing for an additional $18. To make reservations – anytime between 5:30 and 10:30pm on Wednesday, July 30th – call Tangierino at 617.242.6009.
