Hamersley’s Says So Long

The South End’s beloved Hamersley’s Bistro will be closing its doors at the end of this month and in classic Gordon Hamersley fashion, the chef goes out in style, doing something great for the community. Chef Hamersley will partner with the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) for Farewell to Hamersley’s: a Benefit for the BCA on Wednesday, October 29th. The evening is split into two parts: First, a pre-dinner party from 6:00-7:30pm at the Cyclorama featuring Gordon-inspired small plates from friends and neighbors like The Beehive, Cinquecento, Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar, Myers + Chang and West Bridge. Then, at 7:30pm, guests are invited to Hamersley’s Bistro for the restaurant’s final meal, to be prepared by the chef himself. It’s a great way to say goodbye to the 27-year-old institution and support a wonderful cause at the same time. All of the proceeds will be donated to the BCA. The price of admission for the pre-dinner party is $150, the dinner is $500, though you can go to both for $600. Pick up your tickets online here to give Hamersley’s the send off it deserves.
