Chef Mario LaPosta has spent his career perfecting the pizzas and pastas of the Campania region of Italy, and now you can get a tasting tour of the area and the province of Caserta at da LaPosta’s very first wine dinner. Book a table at the Newtonville restaurant on Wednesday, September 28th to enjoy a five-course meal with wine pairings from Villa Matilde, a winery in Caserta that’s only a kilometer from chef LaPosta’s family home. You’ll get to taste wine from some varietals that only grow in that corner of the world, paired up with some amazing Italian eats like Fiore di Zucca (squash blossoms stuffed with housemade ricotta) paired with Villa Matilde ‘Rocca dei Leoni’ Falanghina, and Crudo di Tonno (tuna crudo with fried loccal peppers and tonnato sauce) accompanied by Villa Matilde ‘Montelapio’ Fiano di Avellino (see the whole menu below).
