Excelsior Sommelier Hosts Wine Wednesday

Wine enthusiasts, whether you’re an expert or an amateur, get over to the bar at Excelsior where sommelier Brahm Callahan is launching his monthly tasting series, Wine Wednesdays with Brahm. Working with a regional theme – or various and sundry topics of interest for wine tasters – Callahan will pair three pours with three plates from chef Eric Brennan. First up: on Wednesday, February 6th I Love Merlot. To complement the wine selections, Brennan will be sending out seared sea scallop with bone marrow; anise cured duck confit with wild berry compote; and grilled ostrich with blood orange. The tastings, which start at 6:00pm on the first Wednesday of the month, cost $39 per person. Reservations are available at 617.426.7878.
