One of the city’s most hotly contested food queries will be settled once and for all (or, more likely, just for the evening) at the second annual Battle of the Burger. Hosted by Boston Magazine and Amstel Light, the epic faceoff was months in the making, starting way back in May with more than fifty burger-makers and whittling the list down to the top twenty contenders via a seven-week-long campaign. From 6:00-10:00pm on Tuesday, August 13th, all the finalists will be assembled at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal serving up samples of their contest entries for the ultimate sandwich showdown. Reserve tickets so you can see how the local fave Tasty Burger stacks up against the New York transplant Shake Shack, or to try any of the inventive takes on the classic (as well as some classic takes on the classic) from the likes of Bond, Ceia, The Fireplace, Forum, Foundry on Elm and Trade. Tickets are available online for $75 each (plus $2.87 in processing fees) but you can get 10% off general admission tickets by entering bchefs10 at check-out. Get all the details and see all the potential title-takers on the Battle of the Burger website.
