Eat Lobster for a Cause

Oak Long Bar + Kitchen

Wednesday, June 15th just so happens to be National Lobster Day (one of two – there’s another one in September!) and for those who are observing the holiday, the Oak Long Bar + Kitchen has a tasty way to put your crustacean consumption to work for the environment. The elegant Back Bay restaurant in the Fairmont Copley Plaza will be donating $5 from every lobster roll sold to Green Crab Org, a local group that’s on a mission to educate peoples and develop the culinary market for green crabs – these pesky little critters are considered one of the most destructive invasive species ever, eating local shellfish, outcompeting other crabs and decimating seagrass beds. Chef Zaid Khan‘s generously portioned lobster roll comes with roasted lemon & parsley aioli, herbs & frisée, and Old Bay fries for $39. Pop over to Copley Square anytime from 11:00am to 10:00pm for lunch or dinner – or a mid afternoon snack! – to do your part. You can book a table online or by calling 617.585.7222.
