If you still haven’t binged Julia on HBO it’s time to catch up — or rewatch — because Puritan & Co. is getting ready to host their annual Julia Child Dinner on Thursday, August 25th and you’re going to want to soak in all the details. Chef Will Gilson and pastry chef Brian Mercury have started planning the menu and also invited a couple of guest chefs to come join the fun and raise a glass to Cambridge’s original celebrity chef.
Dinner, which starts at 6:00pm at Gilson’s OG Inman Square spot, will feature Julia’s classic recipes made with fresh, local ingredients from some of her favorite Cambridge purveyors and farms. Seating is communal, which is perfect for a group — try to book all at the same time or send the restaurant a note when you make your reservation so that you can be seated together; there are also seats at the bar available for solo diners.
The full wine list, beer and cocktails will be available to purchase, plus there will be plenty of wine on the tables in carafes (kept full) to share, because as Julia once said, “I enjoy cooking with wine. Sometimes, I even put it in the food.” Make your reservations here, and reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any seating questions, allergies or dietary restrictions.
