East End House Hosts Cooking for a Cause

Mark your calendars – the East End House, one the country’s oldest community centers, hosts its annual fundraiser, Cooking for a Cause, on Thursday, March 29th at the State Room. Culinary Chair Chris Schlesinger (chef-owner of East Coast Grill and All Star Sandwich Bar), and Wine Chair Geoffrey Fallon (master sommelier at Les Zygomates) have gotten an impressive list of participants together for this year’s event. Look for Tony Maws of Craigie Street Bistro, Barbara Lynch of No. 9 Park, Andy Husbands of Tremont 647 and Frank Toohey of Aura at the Seaport Hotel. While you’re at it, be sure not to miss tastings from Jay Murray of Grill 23 & Bar, Eric Brennan of Excelsior, Keith Pooler of Harvest and Dante de Magistris of dante. The all star culinary roster also includes Jamie Bissonnette most recently of Eastern Standard but soon to be of KO Prime, Brian Poe of Seasons at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel, David Kinkead of Sibling Rivalry and Tom Berry of Temple Bar. Sweet treats to warp up the evening will be provided by Dancing Deer Baking Company. The event kicks off at 6:30pm at The State Room overlooking the entire city.
