Earth Hour Observed at Persephone

Michael Leviton, chef-owner of certified green restaurant Lumière and Fort Point Channel’s Persephone at the Achilles Project makes clear his environmental leanings by participating in the fight against global warming in this year’s Earth Hour. In solidarity with the 1 billion people who will turn off their lights for one hour (from 8:30-9:30pm) on Saturday, March 28th, Leviton will flip the switch on guests at Persephone. Luckily diners won’t have to eat in the dark, thanks to a generous donation of Candela rechargeable LED lights from OXO Lighting and Vessel – it’s like the high tech version of candlelight. Call Persephone at 617.695.2257 to make reservations so you can be there when the lights go down. To do your part independently, get the whole rundown on Earth Hour here.
