Dueling Pop-Up Restaurants

Branch Line Facebook

Fans of Top Chef will love what’s cooking at Branch Line. A restaurant that’s dedicated to in-depth staff training and education, they’ve created an all-staff project entitled “Build Your Own Restaurant,” which looks a lot like Top Chef’s “Restaurant Wars” episode (minus Padma and the cutthroat competition). The staff has been divided into two teams, each responsible for designing their own complete pop-up restaurant concept, from interior design to dessert, and now they have the chance to open their concepts to the public inside the Branch Line space.

On Tuesday, April 10th, get in on the fun at Mulberry Wine Bar, a convivial concept built around sharable food and domestic drink. From 3:00 to 6:00pm, try their fire-roasted radishes or vegetable chips & dip duo along with playful potables like Notch Brewery’s Zwickel and canned rosé. And come back the next morning, Wednesday the 11th, between 8:00 and 11:00am to try out the Early Bird Café, a fast-casual spot focusing on local ingredients, where you can either take a quickie breakfast to-go or grab a table while you enjoy a Stone & Skillet breakfast sandwich or the Toastie—a warm homemade roll filled with cheddar, gruyere, and ham—with creative nonalcoholic bevies like sparkling hibiscus tea and lavender honey iced coffee. No tickets required, just pop in to these pop-ups and enjoy the creative hospitality of the Branch Line team.
