They’ve declared the winners in culinary categories from chili to ravioli, meatballs to calzone; this year the dante team will be naming the Best Dressed Dog at their annual cook-off. More than a dozen chefs from near and far will be competing for the grand prize (which is usually a surprise but comes with bragging rights and a shiny tiara). Plan on being on the restaurant’s riverside patio by 2:00pm on Sunday, November 17th to try them all and pick the wiener – uh, winner – from among contenders like Jamie Bissonnette, Brian Dandro, Louis DiBiccari, Tiffani Faison & Dan Raia, Jeff Fournier, Will Gilson, Colin Lynch, Matthew Morello, Rodney Murillo, Jason Santos and Frank Toohey. They’ll all start out with the grass-fed beef hotdogs courtesy of Savenor’s which they can encase in a vessel of their choosing and top however they see fit. The rain or shine event costs $20 per person and tickets are available at the door. Bring a big appetite but please leave your pets at home, no matter how well dressed they are.
