Next Level Grilling Workshop

During the summer, everything tastes better fresh off the grill — especially local lamb. So if you really want to step up your grilling game for the second half of the season, get some help from comfort food guru and mash-up master: local food blogger & cookbook author, Dan Whalen of The Food in My Beard. Just head to ArtBar’s outdoor patio on Saturday, August 3rd for a crash course in jalapeño feta kofta kebabs, the inside scoop on how to make a decked out Korean-style American lamb burger with kimchi slaw and supreme sides like Basil Pimento Pasta Salad from Whalen and chef Mario Vasquez. You’ll get in on the action, too, with a make-your-own condiment station and the chance to customize a spice blend to your liking.

Allagash Brewing Company and their Belgian-inspired brews including White (wheat beer), River Trip (session ale) and Curieux (Bourbon Barrel Aged Triple) will keep you hydrated all afternoon as you eat your way through bites coming right off the grill. All guests will leave with their very own pound of American lamb, so you can put your new skills to use once you get home. Tickets are $50 each and include everything — eats, drinks and your parting gift — and there are only 16 spots available (it’s a hot commodity, people). Get your tickets before they’re gone!
