Sign up for a summer seminar with chef Kevin Crawley, one of our newest site members. Coriander Bistro in Sharon continues their series of cooking classes during the summer months. Monday, July 28thCooking Basics and the Bosses of Sauces
Knife Skills – Start by learning how to properly julienne, chiffonade, brunoise and all that jazz. Demystify a few elementary sauce techniques. Deglaze a pan to make a quick and easy sauce; revisit hollandaise and a few of its cousins; turn a multipurpose dessert sauce into your own unique creation. Then eat like kings over a 3-course meal using what we’ve chopped and created.

Monday, August 4thA Cheese Tasting – The Return of Carol, Steve & Brian Wasik
Coriander’s expert fromagieres from Wasik’s Cheese Shop in Wellesley will guide you through a three-course tasting from the lighter to the dangerously robust. These selections will be paired with complimentary wines. Round out the evening with a pot luck entrée surprise prepared by chef Kevin Crawley.

Monday, August 18thWard’s Farm – LIVE
Coriander students will have a horticultural Q & A with local celebrity purveyor of the area’s finest produce, Jim Ward while simultaneously creating unique dishes prepared with seasonal harvest of heirloom tomatoes, tiny vegetables and special varieties of corn. The Ward family’s 135-acre farm not only supplies the finest restaurants & specialty food distributors in the area, but also features a nursery, retail store, and an incredible line of prepared foods.
