Cooking for a Cause

On Saturday, July 19th from 12:00 to 3:00pm five of Boston’s finest chefs will be Cooking for a Cause by demonstrating recipes from the Share Our Strength’s, Commonwealth Cooks, the new cookbook featuring recipes from Massachusetts Chefs United in the fight against hunger. Bloomingdale’s welcomes Ed Doyle, of soon-to-be-opened, Haven, Michael Ehlenfeldt of Hamersley’s, Diane Manteca of Brickyard Café, Stefanie Schulman Sonn of Ladybird Catering and Don Yovicsin of Jake’s Dixie Roadhouse to its Housewares Department at Bloomingdale’s Chestnut Hill (located at 175 Boylston Street) in continued support of Share Our Strength. Cookbooks will be available for sale by cash, check or charge. The books are $20 each (not including tax) and proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength’s Operation Frontline.
