Make Way for Cochon555

Cochon555

It’s on like Cochon. On Sunday, April 9th, the 2017 Cochon555 tour lands at Boston’s SoWa Power Station for a Heritage BBQ from top Boston chefs. Competing chefs Matt JenningsJoshua Lewin (Juliet), Marc Sheehan (Loyal Nine), Meghann Ward (Tapestry), Kevin Walsh (Tapestry), Daniel Bojorquez (La Brasa) and Mike Bergin (Fat Hen) have a week to compose six dishes from one whole heritage breed pig. They’re roping in fellow cookers – like Colin Lynch, David Bazirgan, Matthew Gaudet, Will Gilson, Tony MessinaCory Seeker, Brendan Joy, Chris Parsons and Alex Crabb – to get the pork done. All 30 plates will be yours for the tasting, plus offerings from pop-up bars serving ramen, ribeye, luxury butter, baked goods and more. Five sommeliers will put their skills to the test at the Somm Smackdown, searching for the best pig and wine pairing, and bartenders will battle with large-format cocktails for the title of Punch King. Even more libations will flow with a smoked Old Fashioned bar, Heritage rum cart, Glenfiddich experimental dome and then some.

The BBQ happenings run from 5:00-7:30pm and general admission tickets are available for $125 each online here. VIP tickets are $200 each and include an extra hour of admission and access to the somm pairings. Order online here to pig out.
