Cochon 555, Coming Soon

Rejoice, fans of heritage breed pork – rejoice fivefold. Cochon 555 is coming back to Boston on Sunday, January 30th. This year, the bacon-fest will be hosted by the Fairmont Copley Plaza and feature the other-white-meat creations of reigning champion Matt Jennings (of Farmstead), Barry Maiden (of Hungry Mother), Lydia Shire (of Locke-Ober, Scampo and Towne), Mary Dumont (of Harvest) and Will Gilson (of Garden at the Cellar). Reserve a ticket or two so you and your pork-loving friends can sample their wares as paired with five boutique wines. Guests, who’ll get to crown the evening’s Prince or Princess of Porc with their votes, can also take in the butcher face-off and whole pig breakdown demos. Tickets will set you back $125 apiece or $175 if you want to splurge on VIP tickets, which will get you into the pre-party (where we’re told there will be artisanal cheeses and oysters). Reserve tickets and get all the details through the Cochon website.
