Cicchetti Takeover with Seizi Imura

The first Wednesday of the month (oh hello, October) is coming up again soon and that means Michael Lombardi and Kevin O’Donnell, the co-Executive Chefs at SRV, are once again hosting their guest cicchetti takeover. The featured cooker will be chef Seizi Imura of Cafe Sushi, and he’ll be crafting five plates — complimentary of course — to bar & bacaro guests. Fish will be the star of the show (the man runs a sushi spot, so what else would you expect?), and you can peep details on the evening’s menu below. Red-wine braised tuna blood-line: onions, garlic, dashi, soy, red-wine

Whiting in saor: deep fried whiting, dashi, soy, rice vinegar, onions, red peppers

Spanish mackerel crudo: onion/garlic citrus-soy, shaved fennel dressed with Anchovy sauce/olive oil

Tuna crudo: cantalope mostarda, radicchio

Dashi-maki Tamago “Frittata”: shrimp, scallions
