Choco Taco Doughnuts

Lionheart Confections

On Saturday, September 18th and Sunday, September 19th Yellow Door Taqueria is teaming up with Lionheart Confections to bring you a deliciously nostalgic brunch treat: the Choco Taco Doughnut, a half-moon-shaped vanilla brioche filled with vanilla bean pastry cream, dipped in chocolate-peanut ganache and topped with a crunchy waffle cone tuile. Each doughnut is $7 and only available this weekend at both the South End and Lower Mills locations from 11:00am until 4:00pm (or until they sell out).

Since launching Lionheart Confections just last year, award-winning pastry chef Kate Holowchik has become known for her playful and bold baking and her extremely popular pop-ups around town. Book a table at either Yellow Door Taco South End or Lower Mills to check out her handiwork. Pair it with brunch cocktails like Waking up in Tijuana (espolon reposado, st. george coffee, cinnamon-infused cold brew) or go for something a bit sweet and summery with the Sandia Fresca (watermelon-infused lillet rose, lemon, pink cava) — just be sure you get there before everyone else eats all the tacos (the savory and cream filled kind).
