Coastal Italian food is light, vibrant and healthy, with a focus on regional ingredients and the bold flavors of the sea. But sometimes you just want chicken parm. Bar Mezzana chef-owner Colin Lynch totally gets that, which is why, every Monday, he’s adding his own version of the classic comfort food to the menu at his South End spot. The Chicken ParMezzana is an enormous, house-made chicken parm sando with fried chicken thigh drenched in Lynch’s take (a coastal Italian take) on Nashville Hot Dip, loaded with homemade mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil and oregano. The sandwich is only $8, only available at the bar, and only a few are made each night. Get ‘em while they last!
