Chicken Parm & Peroni Special at Bar Enza

Acclaimed chef Mark Ladner is known for a lot of great things — his work at Del Posto in NYC, of course and hot Cambridge newcomer, Bar Enza — but his distinctive chicken parm sandwich, which he developed at Pasta Flyer (also in NYC), is the stuff of legend (and the subject of fawning blog posts). Now you can get your hands on one of these hallowed handhelds paired with a draft Peroni for only $25.

Ladner’s magic sandwiches feature chicken breast breaded with garlic crumbs and fried, then topped with provolone, grated pecorino and parmesan, romaine lettuce, red onion, Meyer lemon puree and spicy tomato sauce — simple, perfect, and not to be missed! Head to the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square to grab the special, which is available in the lounge and bar area only, after 8:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but if you absolutely need that sandwich on a busy night (like weekends) you can make a reservation on their website, just be sure to specify the lounge by choosing “high top table.”

Bar Enza is open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 to 10:00pm and the bar is open until 11:00pm. Follow them on Insta for updates on Ladner’s neo trattoria, and for all the glorious Italian food photos you can handle.
