Here’s a blast from the past – the glorious, Cubano-filled past – Chef Paul O’Connell is bringing his iconic sandwich, which graced the bar menu at Chez Henri for many delicious years, back for a one-day-only pop-up at Noir. On Saturday, March 20th, O’Connell will be in the kitchen at the Charles Hotel’s recently-revamped cocktail bar making his famous dish, a layered combination of slow-roasted pork butt, American jamon, house pickles, Swiss and a well-guarded secret sauce. General Manager and maker-of-more-than-a-few-cocktails-in-his-day Augusto Lino and legendary barman Joe McGuirk will be whipping up Periodistas and muddling mojitos to match.
