A Charitable Evening of Rare Bourbons

Harvard Square’s Parsnip is hosting an evening all about rare bourbons on Monday, October 22nd to help raise funds for Emily Leighton, an East Bridgewater resident who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She’s an ER nurse, mom of three and wife of local fireman, and she could really use your support during her fight. Family friend Andrew McElroy has generously donated his collection of rare whiskeys for the event, which will also include small bites from Executive Chef Jimmy Salamone, live music and an auctioning off of Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 23-year-old whisky bourbon.

Nick Taylor from Needham-based Taylor & Taylor Whiskey Company will walk you through a short synopsis of American whiskey history and be your tasting guide with the line-up below. The sipping starts at 6:00pm, runs through 9:00pm and costs $150 per person, 95% of which will be donated to the Leighton family to help cover medical costs. Here’s your chance to sample some incredibly rare whiskeys, meet others who share your passion for the good stuff and help out a member of the community during a super tough time of need.
