War: what is it good for? On Wednesday, August 1st, it’s good for your taste buds. Make way to the battlefield at University Park in Cambridge for the second annual Char & Bar Wars, the cutthroat (but friendly) competition that crowns the city’s best burger and cocktail. From 5:00 to 8:00pm you’ll be treated to a slew of sliders and a bevy of beverages as you taste your way through the local grill and chill scene, with participants like ArtBar, The Automatic, Henrietta’s Table, State Park, Sumiao Hunan Kitchen, Lone Star Taco Bar, and more. Tickets are $55 ($65 at the door), which gets you unlimited sliders (sorry, no doggie bags) and samples of up to 7 cocktails.
