The team at Bambara is bringing back their Winter Olympics themed pop-up, Chalet Marlowe, giving you all the ski lodge vibes you crave, starting Friday, February 4th. The Kimpton Marlowe Hotel’s Lobby Bar has been transformed into a fancy af winter wonderland to get you in the mood to salchow, slalom and axel along with the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. The seasonal pop-up will have faux sheepskin covered couches, roaring fireplace, apres ski cocktails, flannel, light bites and classic games like air hockey (so you can do some sports while you watch Olympians compete).
Enjoy executive chef Adam Resnick’s tasty themed treats like mozzarella and pesto arancini, warm hummus with crispy pita and boneless fried chicken tenders with Korean bbq sauce, pickled radish and gochugaru spiced fries. And go for gold with an Alpine Slide (Absolut vodka, tempus fugit cacao, cold brew and amaro, cream) or Glögg (white wine, Pierre Ferrand cognac, cinnamon, lustau sherry, walnut, ginger and spice – served warm) while watching some curling.
The pop-up is located in the Kimpton Marlowe’s Lobby and open Thursday-Saturday from 5:00-9:00pm until March 4th. And make sure to not miss the opening ceremony with a class of Soixante Quinze in your hand.
