World Sake Day at Blue Ribbon Sushi

Blue Ribbon Sushi

If you haven’t yet made it to Blue Ribbon Sushi, you’ll have the perfect excuse on Saturday, October 1st: World Sake Day. Make for the Kenmore Square restaurant at the Hotel Commonwealth (in the space that was formerly The Hawthorne) for lunch or dinner and order up a $30 flight of 2-oz. pours of three proprietary sake varietals — Junmai (light fruit and dry), Ginjo (light, smooth, refreshing), and Daiginjo (medium dry, light and floral aroma). This one-day-only tasting flight pairs perfectly with any of the traditional a la carte sashimi, nigiri, and maki on the menu, or go all out on a prix fixe omakase and enjoy 12 to 18 courses (starting at $145 per person). Blue Ribbon also has more than two dozen bottles of sake on their drinks list, should you want to keep the koji party going. Check out their menus here, and peep their Facebook or Instagram for all the sashimi, sushi and wagyu pics and event updates. Reservations are available via OpenTable or by calling 617.264.0410.
