Calera Wine Dinner at Julien

Julien at the Langham Hotel continues their Fall Wine Dinner Series on Wednesday, September 22nd when they welcome winemaker Josh Jensen of the Calera Wine Company to the restaurant. Calera, which uses the gentlest winemaking process to ensure the bottled wines express the natural greatness of their vineyard origins, is near Mt. Harlan in San Benito County, California, ninety miles south of San Francisco. Chefs Mark Sapienza and Daniel Kenney have designed a menu featuring crisp Griggstown Farm quail confit with spiced white peach, green onion and Marcona almond salad; slow roasted Atlantic salmon with mountain mint, sweet peas and chanterelles; cherry smoked magret of moullard duck with Macomber turnip puree and Brussels sprouts; and sautéed quince napoleon with honeydew granite and crisp tuile cookies. Dinner, which starts with a reception at 7:00pm, costs $95 per person, not including tax and gratuity. Call 617.451.1900 for reservations and more information.
