The season of Bûche de Noël is back in all its sugary glory, and pastry chef Robert Differ is ready to share some tips & tricks for making this iconic French Christmas treat all on your own. On two Saturdays in December — the 8th and the 15th — he’s hosting a decorating class at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston. Each two-hour tutorial begins at 11:00am, at which time you’ll get a pre-rolled log to which you can add some finishing touches and final little flourishes. When it’s all said and done, you’ll leave with step-by-step instructions for making the celebrated confection in your own kitchen, as well as your own awesome decked out dessert.
