Bubbles aren’t just for birthdays and weddings — see for yourself at Catalyst‘s Bubble Bar Thursdays. Every Thursday night through the end of August, you can belly up to the bar at the Kendall Square spot between 4:00 and 6:00pm for $12 glasses of sparkling wine served with complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Choose from a selection of three wines: Sokol Blosser Bluebird Cuvee (Willamette Valley, Oregon); Prosecco Brut Rosé Famiglia Pasqua (Veneto, Italy); Cava, Segura Viudas (Cava, Spain) and chef William Kovel and crew will send out some seasonal nibbles. Bring a crew along and add some apps from the dinner menu to round things out (maybe the house-made focaccia with whipped feta, or some Korean fried chicken meatballs) and you’ve got a weeknight celebration — toasting is optional. Seating for the special is at the bar only, so head out a little early from work to snag a stool as it is first-come, first-served.
