Commonwealth chef-owner Nookie Postal is feeling blue for his friends and neighbors at The Blue Room, who’ve been unable to work since an August 31st fire caused severe smoke and water damage. On Sunday, September 13th, he’s convening seven chefs, including himself and Fairsted Kitchen’s Stephanie Cmar, for a collaborative brunch and silent auction to help out The Blue Room team. Gorge yourself (for a good cause) on signature brunch items from Cambridge hotspots like Catalyst, Café ArtScience, Puritan & Co., State Park and West Bridge. On the family-style menu: fried chicken sliders with broccoli slaw and spicy ranch (Commonwealth); pork pazole (Cafe ArtScience); and frittata with farmer’s cheese, confit tomatoes and herbs (Catalyst). Brunch, priced at $30 for adults, $15 for kids, is available from 10:00am-2:00pm, but you can bid on silent auction items (like the ones detailed below) all week long at Commonwealth.
